The American Basketball Association (ABA) is a professional men's basketball league that was founded in 1999. The current ABA has no affiliation with the original American Basketball Association that merged with the NBA in 1976. First beginning play in 2000 with eight teams, the league is currently in its seventh season. How many teams make up the American Basketball Association? 
Currently the ABA has 40 teams playing in the leauge. All teams are from major cities each with a population over 750,000 people. |
